Worcestershire & Herefordshire is one of the three constituent Unions within the North Midlands RFU.

There are 29 affiliated clubs in the two counties whose geographic spread is from the Welsh Marches in the west to Warwickshire and the edge of the Birmingham conurbation in the east; from the Shropshire border in the north to Gloucestershire in the south.

Playing opportunities are provided for diverse playing abilities with clubs in National Leagues down to RFU level 10. The County administers its own three divisions of Merit Leagues for 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams.

Worcestershire and Herefordshire RFU compete in the annual tri county RLF competition along with Shropshire and Greater Birmingham, and is currently the holder of the 2009-2010 John Hunt Shield.

Worcestershire & Herefordshire RFU holds its’ Annual Dinner and awards ceremony, traditionally in October each year, which is a well-attended event where RFU and Merit Table trophies are presented to the successful clubs.

The County elects six representatives to serve on the North Midlands General Committee along with their independently colleagues elected as officers of the North Midlands Executive committee.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday every two months at Droitwich RFC. The Union President is elected annually for a two year term of Office at the AGM in May each year. Currently, Nigel Banwell of Upton-on-Severn RFC is our President.
