The funeral of Tom Walters, a leading figure in North Midlands rugby, will take place at Redditch Crematorium on Tuesday May 18 (1.15pm).
The funeral service will be followed by a reception at Finstall Park, the home of Tom's former club Bromsgrove.
Tom died earlier this month aged 86 after a lengthy illness.
A native of South Wales Tom moved to the Midlands at the end of the Second World War after he had served in the RAF.
He worked as a teacher in south Birmingham and played his club rugby for Bromsgrove as a fly-half or centre.
But it was a pioneering administrator that Tom made his mark, establishing colts rugby in North Midlands and the Midlands with Stan Whitfield and Trevor Woolley, both of whom pre-deceased him.
Tom served the North Midlands Colts in a number of administrative capacities and provided opportunities to play competitive rugby for generations of young rugby players who might otherwise have been lost to the sport.
