Job Description Rugby Union Student Liaison Officer (RUSLO) WEST MIDLANDS
Contract until 30th June 2013
To build on the popularity of Rugby Union throughout the country, we are continuing to develop our network of regionally based Rugby Union Student Liaison Officers (RUSLOs). Working closely with the Regional Delivery Team, the RUSLO will be responsible for increasing the participation of 16-24 age group and aid in the development of administration, playing, coaching and refereeing of Rugby Union for students in English Institutions of Higher and Further Education.
The RUSLO's key responsibility will be to develop a long term strategy for involving the student population (17-24) in the game of rugby through providing playing, coaching, volunteering and refereeing opportunities; thereby encouraging them to start and stay in the game.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic communicator; a highly effective organiser, who is totally committed to the game, with strong, practical team leadership qualities and the ability to inspire others and work as part of a regional team. You must be self-motivated and prepared to work flexible hours. The candidate must also hold the minimum of a level 2 RFU Coaching qualification.
