Entries sought for National Colts Cup

ENTRIES are being sought for next season's Investabroad Properties National Colts Cup.

The competition was introduced for the 1997/98 season as part of the East Midlands RU's Centenary celebrations and has continued to grow in strength and popularity.

Bedford Blues will be defending their title having won the competition for the third time in four seasons in last month's final at Northampton Saints' Franklin's Gardens ground.

The competition, which is still administered by East Midlands, is open to all clubs in England, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man who are members of the RFU and who organise their own club Colts Under-19 team.

There is a Plate competition for sides beaten in the early rounds of the National Colts Cup.

The deadline for entries is August 25. The draw for the early rounds will be made on August 26.
