County Cup finalists get byes

Bromsgrove, the North Midlands Cup holders, and Bournville, who were beaten finalists in May, have been given byes to the quarter-finals of next season's competitions.

There are two first round ties with Camp Hill hosting Malvern and Newport playing Worcester Wanderers ahead of the quarter-finals.

In the North Midlands Shield Old Saltleians, the defending champions, face a trip to Droitwich for a re-run of last season's final, in the first round which is due to be played on or before September 4.

Evesham, who won last season's North Midlands Vase, will play in the Shield next season following their promotion to Midlands Three West (South). They are among nine clubs who have been given byes to the second
round of the Shield.

Yardley & District, beaten finalists in last season's Vase, have also been promoted to the Shield and will host Bridgnorth in the first round.
North Midlands Cup first round: Camp Hill v Malvern, Newport v Worcester Wanderers. Dates TBC.

North Midlands Shield first round: Yardley & District v Bridgnorth, Lordswood Dixonians v Upton on Severn, Aston OE v Redditch, Bishops Castle v Stourbridge Lions, Droitwich v Old Satleians, Kidderminster Carolians v Telford Hornets, Old Yardleians v Oswestry. Ties to be played on ore before September 4.

North Midlands Vase first round: Five Ways OE v Old Griffinians, Birmingham CS v Edwardians, Market Drayton v Birmingham Barbarians, Aldridge v Clee Hill, Cleobury Mortimer v Harborne. Ties to be played on or before September 4.
