North Midlands are teaming up with the University of Worcester to run two outward-bound weekends for young rugby volunteers.
Two camps, based at the university’s Lakeside Campus, have been arranged for July offering attendees a fun-packed programme of land and water-based activities. Campsite accommodation and food will be provided
The North Midlands/University of Worcester Challenge Cup weekends will include ropes, zipe wire, archery, problem solving, orienteering, bush craft, canoeing, kayaking, raft building, paddle boarding and open water swimming.
The first activity weekend, on July 14 and 15, will be for 15 to 17-year-olds, with the second weekend, on July 21 and 22, for 18 to 21-year-olds.
North Midlands hope that the weekend will reward young volunteers from clubs around the county for their efforts and to identify potential future leaders.
Clubs are invited to forward the name of a young volunteer, plus a nominated reserve, with their contact details for each group with a brief rugby CV.
Nominations should be sent to Sarah Wild at email@example.com by April 30.
