North Midlands Under 16s Season 2006-7

The North Midlands Under 16s is the selection process used by the Midlands Under 16s to identify the England Under 16 Squad to play internationals around the Easter holiday period.
To be eligble for selection lads must be born in September 1989 or younger; resident in, at school or club or born within the four counties of the North Midlands.
North Midlands Under 16s training squad is chosen from the lads who play for one of the following four counties Greater Birmingham; Herefordshire; Shropshire or Worcestershire in a series of games on Monday 2nd and 9th October at Droitwich RFC.

The North Midlands Under 16s playing Squad to play in the four Midlands Selection Games will be chosen will be selected from the lads within the training Squad who will attend a residential weekend on 21st/22nd October at Ellesmere College Shropshire.

The North Midlands Games for Midlands Under 16 Selection are:-
Wednesday 1st November against East Midlands (away);
Sunday 5th November versus Staffordshire @ Syston RFC;
Sunday 12th November versus Leicestershire @ Broadstreet RFC;
Monday 20th November versus Warkwickshire @ Droitwich RFC.
Players in these games are watched and graded by a team of Midlands Selectors.

Players identified by the Midlands Under 16s through this process will be invited to Assessment Days on 2nd /3rd December 2006.
