Erdington will officially open their new clubhouse later this month….a converted double-decker bus!
The north Birmingham club reformed two years ago and, after a successful first season when they ground-shared with a local Gaelic football team, Erdington are moving back to their historic home at Spring Lane.
The ground is currently without a permanent clubhouse but Erdington have improvised by converting a double-decker bus.
The bus has a shower area and changing room on the upper deck and a bar, seating area and refreshment area downstairs. A large awning can be attached to the bus to provide a covered viewing area.
The double-decker clubhouse will be officially opened on January 19 when Erdington host Walsall’s third XV.
Rugby posts have been erected at Spring Lane and Erdington’s mini and junior sections are already playing at the ground.
