Advice for flooded clubs

As many of you will know, significant work has been undertaken to both identify and support clubs who have been subject to flooding.Many more clubs are suffering from waterlogged pitches that will require particular attention come the end of the season. In an unprecedented move Keith Kent went on the road last week in the middle of the 6 Nations to visit clubs particularly hit by flooding and to provide support and advice to clubs trying to manage their affected pitches.At the end of last week Sport England announced a £5m fund to help sports clubs that had been affected by flooding.

The Area Facilities Managers (AFMs), Area Managers and RDOs have been contacting the most affected clubs and along with CB Facility Co-ordinators alerting them to this funding; I wanted to now make sure you were all aware.

PLEASE NOTE: the funding is available to clubs severely affected by flooding and weather damage. While we aim to ensure all clubs apply that need help, our approach is to target the most appropriate clubs.

Please feel free to contact your AFM to discuss how the response in your CB has been going, and to ensure that all appropriate clubs have been contacted.
