CAMP Hill raised £1,000 for Cancer Research UK last weekend when all of the Solihull-based club’s senior teams – and some of the referees – played in pink socks.Teams from across the club’s sections went pink to raise funds for the charity with bucket collections, a bracelet sale and profits from sales of the Camp Hill Ladies naked calendar taking the proceeds from a successful weekend to four figures.
Camp Hill ladies have built strong links with Cancer Research UK over the years by running in a number of Race for Life events and even being the face of campaigns in the West Midlands. The initial fund-raising weekend earlier in the season had to be postponed because of wet weather but the sun shone for the rearranged event |
