North Midlands are urging all clubs to vote in the RFU Special General Meeting which has been called for November 24 at Twickenham for the proposed adoption of Governance changes in line with the Sport England Governance Code.
An undated pack of material including voting Admission and Proxy voting instruction forms were sent by the RFU in early October to the GMS-registered address of every club’s Hon Secretary.
Our current and past RFU Council Members, Steve Guy, Paul Kaminski and Stuart Potts, have attended a recent series of Domestic Union meetings at which they spoke and answered questions on this subject. You will note that although attendance was strong there are still 17 clubs yet to engage with the consultation.
To date Steve & Paul have received proxy voting forms from the following:
Aldridge, Bishops Castle, North Midlands RFU, Redditch, Shrewsbury, Telford Hornets, Veseyans, Worcester, Yardley & District, Whitchurch.
If your club is neither listed above nor sending a delegate to the SGM then please make your vote count by sending proxy voting papers to either the SGM Chairman (deadline for receipt at Twickenham 4pm Thursday November 23 or in advance to one of either Steve Guy (07900 251091 or email@example.com) or Paul Kaminski (07802 567049 or Paul.firstname.lastname@example.org).
In order to avoid paperwork going astray it would be appreciated if clubs intending to send a delegate to the SGM or sending proxy voting forms to Steve or Paul could notify Huw Jenkins at: email@example.com
