North Midlands slumped to a 36-17 defeat against Warwickshire in the first of two Super Sunday tournaments at Bromsgrove RFC’s Finstall Park ground on Sunday November 2.
North Midlands were only three points adrift at half time but a disappointing second half display allowed Warwickshire to ease to victory with three converted tries.
Wing Christophe Fostier (Bishop Heber School, Whitchurch RFC and Shropshire) and hooker Beck Cutting (Bromsgrove School and Worcestershire) scored tries for North Midlands in the first half with fly-half Lewis Dorey (William Brookes School, Telford Hornets RFC and Shropshire) adding a conversion.
But North Midlands’ only points of the second half came through a try from replacement Matthew Lawrence (Aylestone School, Hereford RFC and Herefordshire).
