Twelve North Midlands players have been invited to attend the Midlands Under-16s Confirmation Day at Leicester Grammar School on Sunday December 14 (9.30am to 4pm).
Ten of the players impressed playing for North Midlands in their recent three match programme of county matches while prop Freddie Hemingway (John Kyrle HS and Ledbury RFC) and centre Dion King (Kings School Worcester and Droitwich RFC), have been invited to the Leicester session.
The Confirmation Day will will include skills sessions and conditioned matches and will form the next stage in the selection process for the Midlands squad who will compete in the Divisional Festival next month.
The other North Midlands players who will be involved at Leicester GS are centre George Amphlett (Malvern College), prop Narcis Badea (Bromsgrive School), scrum-half Charlie Chapman (Bromsgrive School and Spartans RFC), hookers Beck Cutting (Bromsgrove School) and Harrison Fowke (Bromsgrive School and Spartans RFC), wing Alex Hearle (Church Stretton School and Church Strettoin RFC), flankers Ted Hill (River School and Malvern RFC) and Aaron Hinkley (Bromsgrove School and Droitwich RFC), centre Dion King (Kings School Worcester and Droitwich RFC), and locks James Scott (Bshop of Hereford Bluecoat School) and Lawrence Weston (Haybridge HS and Droitwich RFC).
With 12 players North Midlands provide the largest contingent of any of the six Midlands counties to the 47 strong at the Confirmation Day.
