North Midlands are guaranteed another representative in the second round of the new National Under-18 Cup with Birmingham Moseley set to host Luctonians in a first round tie at Billesley Common on January 13.
Birmingham& Solihull, Bromsgrove and Hereford are already through to the second round following wins before Christmas. Birmingham & Solihull won 44-17 at Old Coventrians, Bromsgrove beat Barkers’ Butts 45-7 at Finstall Park while Hereford enjoyed a walkover against Old Patesians.
Dudley Kingswinford will host Old Leamingtonians in their first round tie on January 14 with Worcester entertaining Newbury on the same day.Hereford face a trip to Gloucestershire to play Cirencester on February 11
The competition has replaced the long-running National Colts Cup, which was first won by Moseley 20 years ago and which was organised by the East Midlands RU. The new competition is organised by the RFU.
