North Midlands Women were beaten 45-12 by Durham in their second Pool One match in the Gill Burns County Championship at Hartlepool Rovers.
North Midlands were in contention when Worcester Valkyries hooker crossed late in the first half which reduced Durham’s lead to five points.
But Durham scored two converted tries in as many minutes in a devastating spell either side of half-time.
Durham extended their lead to 38-5 before Worcester Valkyries wing Thea Thompson rewarded North Midlands’ hard work with a try that Worcester centre Jemima Moss improved.
