North Midlands will be hosting a three-man delegation from Czech Rugby this week.
Tony Brabec, Pavel Benes and Tomas Kohout will attend coaching sessions at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire and Luctonians RFC during the two-day visit as part of the RFU Unity Project.
The Unity Project forms part of the legacy plans being implemented by the RFU and falls under the wider work of the IRB’s RWC 2015 rugby legacy programme, ‘IMPACT beyond 2015.’
The IRB and FIRA-AER selected the 17 countries for the RFU and its Constituent Bodies to work with over the next three years, with the project formally due to finish in June this year.
North Midlands and Staffordshire have been twinned with Czech Republic and officials have been involved in regular exchange visits over the last two years.
At Hartpury College the Czech delegation will attend a session for the RFU Ekite Level 4 coaches and at Luctonians they will meet with Alex Davidson, the new North Midlands head coach, and Scott Sturdy, one of the RFU Rugby Development Officers for North Midlands.
Benes will also be involved in a coaching session with Luctonians Colts players.
