North Midlands Under-18s will start their preparations for their forthcoming representative programme with an assessment evening at Droitwich on Wednesday September 20 (6pm).
Birmingham will play Worcestershire in the opening match, followed by Shropshire v Herefordshire at 6.50pm. These matches will be 20 minutes each way.
The losers of those matches will then meet at 8pm with the two winners playing each other at 8.40pm. These matches will be played in 15 minute halves.
All players will be watched and graded by the North Midlands’ selectors who will then choose a squad for a training session at Bromsgrove School on September 24 (10am).
Further squad sessions will be held at Stourbridge on October 2 and 16 and at King’s School in Worcester on October 22.
The first of three Super Sunday tournaments involving all six Midlands counties will be held at Hinckley RFC on October 29 where North Midlands will play Staffordshire (12.30pm).
A further squad session at Stourbridge on November 13 will be followed by the second Super Sunday at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on December 3. North Midlands will play East Midlands at a kick-off time to be decided.
The final Super Sunday event will also be at Broadstreet on December 17, where North Midlands’ opponents have yet to be confirmed.
