Edwardians will celebrate the 100th anniversary of North Midlands’ first-ever match with a re-enactment next month.
The match, at Edwardians’ Streetsbrook Road ground on September 8 (1pm), will form part of North Midlands’ Centenary celebrations and also mark the official opening of Edwardians’ newly-laid first team pitch.
Proceeds from the match will support Doddie Weir’5 Foundation in aid of Motor Neurone Disease, the North Midlands charity throughout the centenary season.
Any former North Midlands players who would like to make a guest appearance in the match for around ten to 15 minutes should contact Charlie Hemmings at: charliehemmings@btinternet.com.
Any Edwardians wishing to participate should contact Paul Virgo at: paul@tek.ltd.uk
