North Midlands will be without wing Will Ford and fly-half Ben Phillips when they face Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire in their rearranged National Under-20 Championship match at Derby on Sunday March 6 (2.15pm).
Ford (Hereford) is unavailable this week and Phillips of Loughborough University had stitches in a cut knee during last weekend’s win over East Midlands at Moseley.
Michael Ho of Old Saltleians has been called up to deputise for Ford with Joe O’Hehir of Edwardians joining the squad as cover for Phillips.
Newport scrum-half Connor Adams has also been added to the squad with Luctonians lock John Kelly returning from injury.
North Midlands will await late fitness checks on Bromsgrove flanker Sam Montieri, Harper Adams number eight Adam Brankley and Moseley’s Morgan Dawes before they confirm their starting XV.
A win over NLD, in a match that was postponed last month because of a waterlogged pitch, will secure North Midlands a place in the national quarter-finals on March 27.
