Former North Midlands Under-16s locks Ted Hill and James Scott helped England Under-18s to a 43-14 victory over France at Aylesbury today.
Hill (Worcester College) and Scott (Malvern College) both play their club rugby for Worcester Warriors and teamed up in national colours to help England to an emphatic win.
Hill also got in the scoresheet by scoring one of England’s seven tries.
England will again be action next Sunday when they host Scotland U18 st Preston Grasshoppers (2pm).
England Head Coach John Fletcher said: “I think the score is a fair reflection of how the game went and we are pleased with the performance.
“When we had the ball we made good decisions and without the ball we were physical and didn’t allow a strong French side to get on top. The players had to adapt to lots of different situations today in tricky conditions so for us that was really pleasing.
“We will make quite a few changes for the next game against Scotland to give other players an opportunity, but hopefully we will get a similar performance.”
