Graham Scutt, a stalwart of Camp Hill for more than 70 years and a well-known figure in North Midlands rugby circles, has died aged 88.
Last year Scutt was awarded the British Empire medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to rugby.
He had been previously awarded a Torch Trophy, a national award which recognises outstanding service in sport.
Scutt joined Camp Hill in 1946 and served the club as player, referee, touch judge, chairman, match secretary and fixtures secretary.
Despite ill health, Scutt continued to support Camp Hill until the end.
Graham Scutt’s funeral will take place at Robin Hood Crematorium in Shirley on April 20 at 3pm and afterwards at Camp Hill.
