Greater Birmingham have made seven changes to their starting line-up for the crunch Iskitz Three Counties Championship match against Shropshire at Telford Hornets’ Town Park ground on Wednesday March 14 (8pm).
Injuries and unavailability have forced Greater Birmingham to reshuffle for a match that they need to win to secure a place in the final against holders Worcestershire & Herefordshire at Ledbury on May 20.
Greater Birmingham were edged out 15-9 by W&H in their opening group match at Birmingham Exiles three weeks ago while Shropshire also went down narrowly, 22-18, to the defending champions in the tournament opener at Worcester.
Greater Birmingham’s changes see Luke Mason, Andrew Pearce Terry Clarke and Kai Lucas-Dumolo come into a re-jigged back division with Ryan Large, Ryan Lee and Dan Lavander starting in the pack.
The Iskitz Three Counties Championship is contested annually by the three Domestic Unions of the North Midlands and provides county representative rugby for players outside the National Leagues.
Iskitz, the Malvern-based international kit suppliers, are generously sponsoring the competition for a fourth season.
