Henley College won the Kings Norton Colts Challenge tournament by beating Old Swinford Hospital School in the final at Ash Lane.
Consolation for Old Swinford came when Oliver Mann was named as player of the tournament at the end of a successful day of sevens rugby featuring colleges from across the West Midlands.
Henley won Pool A by beating Bournville College, the 2015 winners, 17-12 in their opening match which was followed by victories over St Thomas Aquinas, Kings Norton Boys and Archbishop Ilsley.
Old Swinford Hospital topped Pool B with wins over Great Barr South and City College and St George’s School.
Bournville and Great Barr progressed to the semi-finals as runners-up in their respective pools.
Great Barr conceded the third place game to Bournviile College.
