Huw Jenkins has resigned as Hon. Secretary of North Midlands RFU with immediate effect.
North President Rob Bray, a former county Secretary, will assume the role of interim Hon Secretary until the Annual General Meeting in June.
“It is my duty to inform you that Huw Jenkins has tendered his resignation from his elected position of North Midlands RFU Constituent Body Hon Secretary, as he is unable to devote the time and attention required by the role in view of very demanding time constraints imposed in connection with his employment and this also combined with his other commitments and duties surrounding his involvement with North Midlands Rugby Referees Society,” said North Midlands Chairman Charlie Hemmings.
“North Midlands RFU are very appreciative and grateful for Huw’s engagement with the County, albeit for a relatively short period and our good wishes go with him for his future.”
The post of Hon. Secretary will be advertised in due course with a job description and appropriate terms of reference.
