It’s International Womens Day this month and North Midlands RFU would like to celebrate all the Women and Girls that contribute to rugby in our clubs by setting a date for that to happen. Our suggestion would be Saturday 26th March.

Here are some ideas that you could use to welcome women and girls down to your club:
Simply invite all the players, partners, mums, grandmothers and daughters down to the club to watch a game. Organise a pre match buffet or afternoon tea.
Provide a tour of the club with a presentation on the game and it’s laws.
Set up a rugby activity such as touch rugby and give everyone a go.
Schedule a Women’s game before the mens fixture.
Offer opportunities to become a volunteer.
Provide a gift for your guests.
