Ledbury are seeking an operations and business development manager.
The post is a permanent one with flexible hours including weekend work. The salary is £20,000-£25,000 plus incentives.
Ledbury RFC is an established, developing organisation with excellent clubhouse facilities, set within a 22-acre site on the outskirts of the town. This incorporates the Pavilion Rooms, which provides a top quality venue for conferences, weddings and banquets. It is a new post that will work closely with a small team of part time, casual staff and volunteers. It offers the right candidate a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the business of club management.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Manager will be responsible for the management and operation of the on-site facilities. Also to instigate and implement positive change in the existing operation and to drive the club’s business performance to a new level.
The achievement of income growth targets and profitability as agreed with the Board of Ledbury RFC.
Demonstrate a hands on approach to the business and to oversee all day to day operation.
Leadership, management and motivation of a small team of staff and volunteers.
Ensure a consistently high standard of Customer Service to members and customers.
The delivery of regular monthly reports for the board on operational initiatives, budget and targets.
Overall site management.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in a demanding event & hospitality environment.
Proven ability of effectively managing budgets.
Good computer skills including MS Office, the internet and e- mail programme.
Excellent inter personal skills.
Experience of managing relationships with a wide variety of groups and reporting to a Chairman or equivalent.
Results orientated, energetic and decisive.
A passion for customer service.
