North Midlands Under-18 back-row forward Max Hill has been included in this season’s England Counties Under-18 training squad.
Hill who is a student at Worcester Sixth Form College and who plays his club rugby for Malvern, impressed playing for the Midlands in last weekend’s Divisional Festival at Loughborough University.
He has now been included in a 25-strong squad for a further training session in Loughborough on March 15 after which the squad will be trimmed ahead of the International Triangular Festival at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire between March 28 and April 4.
England Counties Under 18s will play a France team selected from their regional academies on the opening day of the festival and Irish Clubs Under 18s on April 4.
Hill’s younger brother Ted, who also plays his club rugby for Malvern, is also in contention for England honours this season having been included in the Midlands Under-16s squad.
