North Midlands have been given a boost ahead of their trip to Brixham to face Devon in the County Championship Bill Beaumont Cup Second Division South on Saturday May 16 (3pm).
Bromsgrove flanker Sam Montieri has been passed fit to face Devon despite suffering a jaw injury in the 60-17 defeat by Surrey in last week’s Championship opener at Stourbridge.
North Midlands at first feared that Montieri had suffered a broken jaw on his senior county debut and he was taken to hospital. But the injury had proved less serious and Montieri will be available for selection for a match that North Midlands must win if they are to have any chance of winning promotion back to the top flight of the competition.
North Midlands will be forced to make at least one change to the side beaten by Surrey as Stourbridge wing Tom Jarvis is unavailable this weekend as he is attending a wedding.
Bournville fly-half Alex Warner is doubtful for the trip to Brixham as he suffered a shoulder injury against Surrey.
