Craig Tracey, the Conservative MP for North Warwickshire, was among the volunteers who helped Old Saltleians get their Watton Lane clubhouse ready for the forthcoming Rugby World Cup during the recent NatWest RugbyForce weekend
Tracey joined Old Saltleians club members in helping out on a number of DIY tasks at the Water Orton based club designed to improve the facilities ahead of the global tournament which includes two group matches at Villa Park.
Charlie Hemmings, the chairman of North Midlands RFU, also joined in on a busy weekend for Old Saltleians which saw them re-floor and re-carpet their marquee, fit a pergola walkway between the clubhouse and marquee, weeding, painting picnic benches painting and re-tiling the female toilets and cleaning and varnishing the referees’ changing area.
Old Saltleians were among more than 600 clubs across England who took part in a record-breaking NatWest RugbyForce weekend.
