HINCKLEY, past winners of the National Colts Cup, will have home advantage against Market Bosworth in a Leicestershire derby in this season’s second round later this month.
Hinckley, who won the cup in 2009, had a first round bye while Market Bosworth beat Market Harborough 44-26.
Bedford Blues Athletic, who had a first round walkover against Dunstablians, will now travel to Leighton Buzzard in the second round.
As Bedford Blues they won the National Colts Cup five times in six seasons between 2007 and 2012.
Moseley, who won the inaugural National Colts Cup in 1998, will travel to Evesham in the second round. Both teams had first round byes.
The National Colts Cup was introduced for the 1997/98 season as part of the East Midlands RU’s centenary celebrations.
The National Colts Plate, for sides beaten in rounds one to three of the Cup, was introduced two years later.
Both competitions are organised by the East Midlands RU and are contested by Under 18 teams from clubs across England.
