The three North Midlands survivors in the National Colts Cup have been kept apart in the fourth round draw.
Luctonians will have home advantage against Nottingham Corsairs, who won last season’s RFU National Under-17 Cup, in a tie that will be played on or before January 31.
But Moseley and Kidderminster Carolians both face away assignments in Leicestershire. Moseley, who won the inaugural National Colts Cup in 1998, will travel to Melton Mowbray and Kidderminster to Syston.
In the National Colts Plate, for sides beaten in the first three rounds of the Cup competition there are two North Midlands derbies in round 3B.
Bromsgrove will host Old Halesonians with Church Stretton entertaining Hereford in ties to be played by the weekend of December 19/20.
Malvern will also have a home tie against Nuneaton while Birmingham & Solihull and Telford Hornets have been given byes to round 3C.
The National Colts Cup, which is sponsored by Hi Tec Lift Trucks, was introduced for the 1997/98 season as part of East Midlands RU’s centenary celebrations. The Plate competition was introduced two seasons later.
Both competitions are still organised by East Midlands and are contested annually by Under-18 teams from clubs across England.
