At least two North Midlands clubs are guaranteed places in the fourth round of this season’s National Colts Plate competition.
Old Halesonians and Telford Hornets and Malvern and Birmingham & Solihull are due to play in Round 3C of the competition this weekend.
Old Halesonians beat Bromsgrive 33-8 in the last round and Malvern enjoyed a walkover against Nuneaton. Telford and Birmingham & Solihull were both awarded byes.
Two more North Midlands clubs, Church Stretton and Hereford, have yet to play their Round 3B match.The winners will host Broadstreet in Round 3C.
The National Colts Plate was introduced for the 1999/2000 season for sides beaten in rounds one to three of the National Colts Cup.
Both competitions are organised by the East Midlands RU and are contested by Under-18 teams from clubs across England.
