| North Midlands back row forward Connor Nicholls will captain the Midlands at the England Counties Under 20s Divisional Festival at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College in Leicestershire from April 18 to 20.
Nicholls, who plays for Worcester Wanderers, impressed for North Midlands in their recent National Under 20 Championship campaign and was selected to lead the Midlands after two training sessions at Burton this week. The Midlands’ 22-strong squad includes three more North Midlands players in full-back Chris Fensome (Birmingham & Solihull), wing Joe Hearle (Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and Shrewsbury RFC) and lock Solomon Dacres (Bromsgrove). |
