North Midlands Women are seeking nominations from clubs for players to attend trials for this season’s County Championship campaign.
The county trials will take place at Bournville’s Avery Fields ground on March 10 from 1.30pm to 3pm. The closing date for nomination of players is February 24.
Players are eligible to represent North Midlands if they play for a club in Greater Birmingham, Shropshire or Worcestershire & Herefordshire or live in one of those areas.
Players must be 18-years-old or older and have received player dispensation and been nominated to North Midlands before the trials. No player under-18 will feature unless dispensation and prior communication has been received.
Members of last season’s North Midlands squad went on to represent End to play in the Tyrrells Premier 15s.
A similar progression route is open to players who compete in this season’s County Championship.
After the trials a squad will be selected featuring an extra group of young players to develop for the future who will all be invited to train as a squad in preparation for the County Championship which takes in place between April and June.
There will be training session on March 31, April 7, April 14, April 16 and April 25.
North Midlands will open their County Championship campaign with a home match against Lancashire on April 28, followed by a trip to Durham on May 12.
The national semi-finals will take place on the weekend of May 18 and 19 with the final on June 2 or 8.
