THE selection process for this season’s England Under 18 Clubs and Schools will begin later this month when the programme of inter-county matches begins in the Midlands.
Each of the six Midlands counties will play three matches, including one in the Super Sunday tournament at Broadstreet on November 2 after which a squad to take part in the Midlands Assessment Day early in the New Year will be chosen.
The Divisional Festival will be held at Loughborough University from February 20 to 22 after which the England Under 18 Clubs and Schools selectors will select a squad to prepare for an international festival to be played at a venue to be confirmed from April 3 to 5.
The inter-county programme begins in the Midlands on September 24 when Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire host Leicestershire at Newark and Warwickshire play Staffordshire at Barkers’ Butts.
The next round of matches is on October 8 when Leicestershire play East Midlands at Vipers and North Midlands host Warwickshire at Stourbridge.
The final round of matches will be played on October 22 with East Midlands taking on NLD at Peterborough and Staffordshire entertaining North Midlands at Walsall.
All midweek matches kick off at 7.30pm.
The Midlands Super Sunday will be staged at Broadstreet on November 2.
