Church Stretton, North Midlands’ newest club, will complete their remarkable rise when they make their first appearance in the North Midlands Colts Cup final on Sunday April 17.
The Shropshire club beat Malvern 29-27 to reach the final where they will face Hereford at Dudley Kingwinford’s Heathbrook ground (3.30pm). Church Stretton disposed of Dudley Kingswinford and Moseley earlier in the competition.
Hereford booked their place in the final by beating holders and local rivals Luctonians in their semi-final having earlier beaten Camp Hill and Birmingham & Solihull.
The Tom Walters Cup will be presented to the winners of the North Midlands Colts Cup with the Tom Walters Plate being contested by sides beaten in the first round of the cup competition.
Camp Hill will face Kidderminster Carolians in the Plate final at Dudley Kingswinford on April 17 (1.45pm).
Camp Hill beat Aston OE and Old Halesonians while Kidderminster followed a first round cup defeat by Luctonians with Plate wins over Bromsgrove and Veseyans.
