North Midlands have been forced to reshuffle their side for their second match in this season’s Bill Beaumont County Championship Third Division against Oxfordshire at Oxford Harlequins on Saturday May 11 (3pm).
Bournville scrum-half Rhys Harrhy has been called up by Midlands Under-20s for the England Counties Divisional Festival in Derby, Stourbridge centre Tom Mitchell is unavailable as are Bromsgrove’s Will Harris and Drew Harper.
Aiden Cheshire, who helped Luctonians win promotion from Midlands Premier two weeks ago, comes into the back row along with Jermaine Toques of Yardley & District, who will be making his North Midlands debut having impressed playing for Greater Birmingham in this season’s Three Counties Championship.
Tom Lee of Old Saltleians and Mitch McGahan of Bournville will form a new half-back combination with Sam Vaughan of Dudley Kingswinford and Joel James of Sutton Coldfield forming a new centre pairing.
Vaughan and James are North Midlands newcomers as are hooker Jack Wells, flanker Jack Rees and replacements Kurtis Payne, Tom Drew, Sam Harper and Ben King.
North Midlands began their campaign with a 30-21 defeat at the hands of Cumbria at Bromsgrove last Saturday and will play their third Pool One match against Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire at Old Halesonians on April 18.
