|North Midlands are running an Emergency First Aid at Work course at Telford Hornets RFC on December 6 (10am to 4pm).
The course will have a strong rugby/sport injuries element and has been arranged to ensure all North Midlands clubs are compliant with new RFU First Aid guidelines.
North Midlands have allocated funding for every club to access two free places on an Emergency First Aid at Work course to provide cover for second, third and fourth teams at senior level.
The approximate cost of the course is £45 and we are asking that clubs send cheques to cover their two allocated places, with the names of their nominees to Charlie Hemmings. hese cheques will not be cashed if the appointed club representatives(or replacement) attend the course.
Any no shows will lead to the cheques being banked to compensate for costs incurred, as the cost to North Midlands is per course not per individual.
The courses will be delivered to clusters of approximately six clubs with the aim of keeping travel to a minimum.
Scott Sturdy and Stuart Eades, the North Midlands Rugby Development Officers, will arrange dates, venues and clusters, communicating directly with the clubs concerned.
We are hoping to complete a full series of courses by the end of the season enabling all clubs to access this funding. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help ensure the safety of both players and your volunteers who look after them.
If any club wishes to run courses of their own to other volunteers – a minimum of 10 required, but only 2 places would be funded for your club – please contact email@example.com
Payment can be made by BACS to North Midlands RFU, Sort Code 402027 Account Number 31436279 or cheque payable to North Midlands RFU sent to Charlie Hemmings, 10 St Annes Road, Claines, Worcester. WR3 7PG.
