North Midlands are seeking to appoint a new coaching team for the county’s senior team with vacancies for head coach and assistant coaches.
The role of the coaching team is to deliver the coaching and assist in the planning of the coaching programme.
The coaches will be responsible for providing a positive and successful playing environment at county CB level and provide opportunities for players to progress from club to county and promote opportunities for selection to the England Counties XV.
The responsibilities will include supporting the assessment and selection process, the playing and match preparation for the senior county squad, attending coaches’ meetings, the end-of-season review meeting and completing player feedback and profiling forms.
Applicants should demonstrate experience of coaching at club and county representative level, commitment to and engagement with the RFU’s Coaching Development Qualification structure and have an affinity with the community game.
The head coach should hold a minimum of the RFU Level 3 coaching qualification or its equivalent and have necessary experience to manage high performance players from all aspects of the game.
Assistant coaches should hold a minimum of the RFU Level 2 coaching qualification or its equivalent and be able to demonstrate experience and success with coaching club players.
