Former North Midlands Cup winners Aston OE have been given the chance of a home quarter-final in this season’s North Midlands Vase competition.
Aston, who won the county cup in 2003 and 2004, have yet to play their first round tie against Hereford-based Greyhound but the winners will host Birmingham Civil Service in the quarter-finals.
Bromyard will entertain Market Drayton and Pershore will have home advantage against Yardley & District with Ross-on-Wye facing the winners of the Tenbury v Five Ways OE first round match.
All the quarter-finals are scheduled to be played on the first available date when neither club is involved in league or RFU Cup matches. The Pershore v Yardley & District match will be played on October 15.
Sides beaten in the first round of the North Midlands Vase will automatically go into the first round of the North Midlands Vase Plate competition.
