North Midlands Women will be bidding to reach the semi-finals of the inaugural Women’s County Championship when they take on Berkshire at Five Ways OE on Sunday May 15 (3pm).
North Midlands opened their campaign with victory over Gloucestershire at Five Ways last Sunday and another win would secure top spot and another home tie on May 22. The first final of the new competition will be play at The Stoop the following weekend.
Flanker Harriet Mustard who sustained head injuries in the friendly against Cheshire two weeks ago is set to return to action this weekend.
Mustard was forced to sit out the Gloucestershire match but she has now passed the concussion protocols and has been named as a replacement for the visit of Berkshire.
Dudley Kingswinford wing Hayley Brain starts in the one change to the back division with props Thalia Hopkins and Hannah Haywood and flanker Rhiannon Donnahey called up in the pack.
