The North West Air Ambulance has thanked North Midlands for a donation to the charity.
North Midlands made a £100 donation in recognition of the attention that Moseley flanker Harriet Mustard received when she suffered a head injury playing for the county’s Women’s team in a friendly against Cheshire at Chester at the end of last season.
Thankfully Mustard was not as seriously injured as was first feared but North Midlands decided to support the Air Ambulance which relies on donations.
“Without organistaions like yours we simply could not continue to operate our helicopetrs and save lives every single day of the year,” said the North West Air Ambulance in a letter to North Midlands.
“For over 15 years the North West Air Ambulance has provided pre-hospital care needed to make a life-changing difference. We operate three air ambulance helicopters flying 365 days a year with doctors and paramedics on board providing advanced medical treatment within vital minutes for injury or severe illness.
“However as a charity reliant on the generosity of people like you to keep our helicopters flying we require vital funds each day just to continue to reach those that most need our services.”
