Old Saltleians have scooped a prestigious national award for the most innovative project to raise awareness of the forthcoming Rugby World Cup.
Old Saltleians successfully staged World Cup themed art exhibition in their Water Orton clubhouse during the summer and invited local junior schools and brownie packs to submit entries.
Almost 150 works of art were submitted for the display which was the brainchild of Jack Rogers, a Young Rugby Ambassador at Old Saltleians.
Rogers was invited to last weekend’s England v Ireland match at Twickenham to receive the award along with YRA mentors Rhian Mandell and Colin Gardner.
“It was a great honour and an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other Young Rugby Ambassadors from all over England,” Rogers said.
