Old Yardleians will be staging their annual 15-a-side tournament at their Tilehouse Lane headquarters on Saturday August 15.
The tournament, which is now in its 35th year, has become a regular in the North Midlands rugby calendar and a popular curtain-raiser for the new season.
The tournament was renamed the Moss Goode Memorial 15-A-Side Tournament in 2008 in honour to Moss Goode, a stalwart worker for rugby at Old Yardleians and in Greater Birmingham and North Midlands.
Last season’s winners Vipers from Leicester will be back to defend their title with Plate winners Willenhall also among the confirmed entrants. Ashby and Bridgnorth will also be taking part along with other clubs from North Midlands.
The tournament kicks off at 1pm with all matches lasting 20 minutes.
