North Midlands Under-18s will be missing full-back Cameron Hunter and scrum-half Oli Gaston when they face Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire in the Super Sunday tournament at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on Sunday November 1 (12.30pm).
The Hereford Cathedral School pair are on a school trip to Italy and will not arrive back in England in time to play in North Midlands’ final match of the season.
Lewis Turner comes into the side at full-back to replace Hunter for his first appearance of the season while Charlie Grimes takes Gaston’s place.
Those are the only changes to the side that beat Staffordshire at Stourbridge last week in a match that offers North Midlands players a last opportunity to impress the Midlands Under 18 selectors.
The selectors will meet for a grading meeting on November 18 after which 45 players will be chosen to take part in a development day at Uppingham School on December 6.
The squad will be reduced to 35 for the Midlands Assessment Day at Broadstreet on January 3 ahead of a squad session on January 24.
