Youngsters at Matchborough First School Academy in Redditch were introduced to rugby in a session running jointly by the Redditch club and the Worcester Warriors community team.
Redditch secretary Steve Hindson and Matt Jones from the Warriors visited the school where the youngsters heard about rugby at their local club and at Premiership side Worcester.
The youngsters were also introduced to ball handling and evasion techniques with the emphasis being on fun and enjoyment.
They were taught the New Zealand Haka which one group performed before a game of British Bulldogs.
“The school has to be congratulated in getting behind the day to ensure that every pupil had the chance to enjoy the fun of learning a little about rugby in a familiar and fun-filled setting,” Hindson said.
