Redditch player Craig Martin was special guest at the opening of the new Dunelm store in the town.
Redditch are celebrating their Gold Jubilee this season and Martin was invited to the opening of the homewares retailer’s brand new store on Grove Street to give a motivational speech to the new staff.
Martin was accompanied on the visit by Redditch club captain Gareth Davies and secretary Steve Hindson.
“Redditch Rugby Club was delighted to receive the invitation from Dunelm to take part in the opening of their new store. It helped the club promote its image as being part of the local community and Craig’s speech, highlighting the benefits of enjoying teamwork, struck just the right note,” Hindson said.
The official opening of the Dunelm store was performed by the Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Joe Baker, supported by students from St Bede’s Catholic Middle School who sung a collection of pop hits to shoppers.
