The RFU have updated the registration process for age grade players for the 2019/20 season.
All new players must be registered online via their parents using the Game Management System.
Clubs need to generate a specific URL which can be sent to parents. Parents will then complete and easy-to-follow flow on GMS to create an account for them and their child to make a registration request.
Only parents who have a verified email address will be approved.
Players who are Under-7, Under-8, Under-16, Under-17 or Under-18 who registered by GMS last season should update their registration.
Clubs should generate a specific URL to be sent to players in these age groups. Parents should then update personal details, provide medical information, emergency contact details and give photographic consent.
All other players are encouraged to complete the annual club registration by updating their registration.
Parents are asked to update their own records and to inform the club of any changes necessary.
There are a few additions to the user records and the process based on feedback. There include: mandatory medical details, emergency contacts and photographic consent. This brings GMS into line with previous paper registration forms.
