Aston OE have benefited from a coaching session from former England wing Paul Sackey.
Sackey, who won 22 caps between 2006 and 2009, played his club rugby for Bedford, Harlequins, London Irish, Stade Francais and Wasps.
He now runs his own interior design company but still has close links with Wasps as an ambassador for the Coventry-based Aviva Premiership club.
It was in that capacity that Sackey paid his recent visit to Aston’s ground in Perry Common where he put the first team squad through their paces in a training session which also involved Wasps Community Coach Jordan Young, a former Aston Colts captain.
“It was a pleasure to have Paul at Aston OE,” said Aston spokesman Tony Stafford.
“He was keen to pass on his skills and experience to the players at the club in a fun and purposeful manner to the guys, who were really appreciative of his encouragement to demonstrate new techniques.
“We were very fortunate to have Paul at the club via our affiliation with Wasps.”
