Shropshire are seeking to appoint an Honorary Chairman of their Rugby Development Group.
The chairman is responsible for leading the growth and development of the youth representative game within Shropshire by increasing retention and participation especially among those aged 19 or younger.
The role is currently supported by the Rugby Development Group Committee comprising treasurer, secretary, club representatives, county coach representative, Shropshire Schools’ representative, Shropshire Women & Girls representative, North Midlands Safeguarding Manager, RFU Rugby Development Officer or other representative.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate that they are generally respected as a person of authority within the game, preferably with a background in Club, School or Constituent Body rugby.
That they have knowledge of the game within Shropshire coupled with the organisational and management skills commensurate with such a position, combined with personal tact and diplomacy.
